Heide Schave is the Museum Education Director at the USS Hornet Museum in Alameda, CA. In this role, Heide Schave is responsible for setting up field trip tours, special student days at the museum, and coordinating museum fundraisers and events. Schave has been working for the USS Hornet Museum since 2007, and has moved up to her current position from an intern position! Heidi Schave graduated from the University of California in Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2001, then went on to earn her Masters of Arts in History at California State University in 2007. Her focus on studying 19th century at both institutions prepared her for the vital role she plays in her current position, educating the students and people of Alameda about the exhibits that her museum has on display!
