The director of nursing and administrator are both Registered Nurses who manage all patient care directly, therefore there is no loss of communication between the hospice staff and family. Communication is key in hospice care in order to have smooth transitions. We designate staff that will fit well with each family member and set the frequency for the family to feel comfortable to care for their loved ones when we are not there.
