Intestate Succession

When an individual passes away without a valid will, they are considered to have died intestate. Their estate distribution is now subject to Florida’s intestate succession laws. The laws prioritize the surviving spouse and immediate family members. They include children and parents, who receive a share of the estate. The distribution may vary depending on the surviving relatives. The law also considers their relationship to the deceased.
